random server hanging

Dear Cherrypy team
Ive just upgraded from cherrypy 2.2 to 3.03 Generally everything works well..and its nice and fast...
Occassionaly though a request is made to the server and nothing happens things just hang indefinately...
I couldnt find anything on this on any pages..as a known problem so I exprect Ive missed something on the upgrade.
Our bioinformatics website http://gene3d.biochem.ucl.ac.uk/Gene3D/
is powered by cherrypy and were keen to upgrade..
any help greatly appreciated
